Aftermarket under One Roof: New POD Portal and Ready-to-Install Wheel Head Units

The SAF-HOLLAND Group’s aftermarket continues to grow closer together. At Automechanika 2026 in Frankfurt, SAF-HOLLAND will demonstrate how workshops, dealers and fleet operators will be able to access spare parts, digital services and additional components even more easily in future. The focus is on the new Parts on Demand (POD) portal, which brings together product identification for SAF-HOLLAND, Haldex and, in future, also Assali Stefen, Tecma and York within a single interface. To this end, SAF-HOLLAND is expanding its portfolio under the Haldex brand to include brake pads and brake discs for axles in the trailer and tractor sectors from various manufacturers, and under the SAF-HOLLAND brand to include wheel head assemblies for various makes. Visitors can experience the solutions first-hand from 8 to 12 September 2026 in Hall 6.0, Stand B20.

With the new POD portal, SAF-HOLLAND is digitally consolidating the Group’s key aftermarket processes. Workshops and dealers can now identify SAF-HOLLAND and Haldex products within a single portal. This makes it easier to find the right components, reduces media discontinuities and provides a clear digital gateway to the joint spare parts range. The new user interface is modern, clearly laid out and consistently designed to enable quick navigation in day-to-day work.

“With the new POD portal, we are significantly reducing the complexity of the spare parts business,” explains Manuel Balles, Vice President Aftermarket at SAF-HOLLAND. “Workshops and dealers can identify SAF-HOLLAND and Haldex components within a single portal – quickly, unambiguously and using an application that is consistently designed for day-to-day work in the aftermarket.”

As a proven braking specialist, Haldex is consistently expanding its aftermarket braking range and offers brake discs and brake pads for numerous trailer and tractor unit applications. This means that not only SAF-HOLLAND axles, but also axle systems from other brands and applications in the truck and trailer sector can be fitted with Haldex components. The product ranges are type-approved for their respective applications and designed for professional use in the commercial vehicle aftermarket.

The brake pads offer high and consistent friction performance, low wear, low-noise operation, reduced dust generation and high temperature resistance. Corrosion-protected backing plates prevent premature failure and delamination. The brake discs complement the range with reliable braking performance, high thermal stability, resistance to warping and cracking, and tight tolerances for quick and hassle-free fitting.

When it comes to servicing, every minute counts. To minimise delays, SAF-HOLLAND is introducing its new wheel head assemblies for third-party brands. Rather than spending time dismantling, inspecting and reassembling individual components during repairs, workshops can now replace entire wheel head assemblies. This speeds up repairs, reduces downtime and cuts costs throughout the servicing process. Furthermore, SAF-HOLLAND is focusing on comprehensive solutions for fleet operators: with these complete wheel head assemblies, the company enables efficient refurbishment programmes for entire vehicle fleets. Through tailored complete packages, SAF-HOLLAND helps customers to standardise maintenance processes and increase the availability of their vehicles.

The portfolio comprises ready-to-fit wheel head and wheel hub units for numerous common axle and vehicle applications, including those compatible with systems from Schmitz, Krone, BPW, JOST, DAF and Volvo. The components are designed for high structural strength, precise fit, durability and easy maintenance. In this way, SAF-HOLLAND helps workshops carry out repairs efficiently, safely and in a predictable manner.
