SNK Brake Technology
The SAF SNK (System Nockenrolle Kugel/ System cam roller ball) brake technology, with spherical bearing based on a bionic model, combines good braking performance with easy brake pad replacement.
The heat generated by friction shields the brake drum. If the brake shoes are mounted on bolts, as is the case with conventional drum brakes, there is no optimum contact with the brake drum.
The spherically mounted brake shoes from SAF-HOLLAND, on the other hand, always ensure a perfect position of the brake shoes in relation to the brake drum. This ensures even wear and the best possible friction pairing.
The function of the SNK brake technology is comparable to the functions of the human shoulder joint.
