Single Handed Operation

The practical single-handed operation technology allows the HOLLAND fifth wheel to be opened safely with just one hand. Handling is convenient because the user does not have to pull a second safety lever or a safety rope.

To open the fifth wheel, the user presses the locking lever down with his thumb. Without much effort, he then pulls the unlocking handle.   

The position of the locking lever - "up" for locked, "down" for not locked - shows immediately and without a doubt whether the fifth wheel is securely locked. This avoids dangerous false couplings.  

The single hand operation also supports the driver in terms of work safety and comfort. By not having to use both hands to open the coupling, the operator can support himself on the vehicle with one hand. This improves safe standing and promotes a back-friendly working method.
