The AirVent technology consists of a closed cover flange wheel head and an asymmetrically cast disc brake. As a result, the AirVent technology achieves an exemplary price-performance ratio and is designed for long-term transport use due to its robustness.

The centerpiece is the SAF AirVent wheel hub. This monobloc wheel hub is fitted with an asymmetrically cast, specially alloyed 22.5" or 19.5" brake disc that has been tested over many years.

The internal AirVent ventilation channels cool the brake disc, prevent heat buildup and specifically support low temperature management in the overall system. Thus, the umbrella effect is avoided as far as possible, thereby increasing the service life of the brake disc and pads.

The brake disc is particularly protected from environmental influences by the position in the rim with offset 120mm. This leads to a better pad life.

Technology Advantages
  • Internal AirVent ventilation channels cool the brake disc, prevent heat build-up and specifically support low temperature management in the overall system
  • Closed cover flange for reduced dirt ingress from outside under extreme track conditions
  • Reduced contact surfaces between brake disc and wheel hub
  • reduce heat transfer from the brake disc to the hub unit
  • Optimized brake disc position in the wheel hub
  • Continuous cathodic dip coating of the wheel hub provides optimum corrosion protection and ensures many years of value retention
