SAF-HOLLAND, one of the world's leading manufacturers of chassis-related assemblies and components, impressed industry experts at NUFAM 2025 with the premiere of its new SAF INTRA Smart Steering system. A broad brand and product portfolio and the revised digital I.Q. portal completed the group's impressive trade fair presentation.
With a convincing brand presentation and a highly acclaimed new product, SAF-HOLLAND can look back on a successful NUFAM 2025. For the first time, the commercial vehicle supplier presented all of the group's European axle brands in one place. The centrepiece of the trade fair was the premiere of the new SAF INTRA Smart Steering with VSE steering system, which attracted great interest from OEMs, fleet operators and trade visitors alike.
Greater manoeuvrability in urban and distribution transport
The new SAF INTRA Smart Steering impressed as a factory-configured steering axle with integrated VSE steering system, steering angle sensor, cylinder and absorber. It offers noticeably greater manoeuvrability in urban and distribution transport and makes tight manoeuvres considerably easier. Visitors took the opportunity to find out more about the advantages of the latest SAF axle at the stand – from smooth integration into existing vehicle concepts to reduced tyre wear and fuel consumption. ‘The large crowds at the stand clearly signalled to us that we are meeting the industry's requirements,’ explains Alexandre Charpiot, Vice-President Sales EMEA at SAF-HOLLAND. ‘With SAF INTRA Smart Steering, we are pointing the way forward in modern transport: towards greater efficiency and driving comfort.’
The new SAF-HOLLAND I.Q. Portal
Another highlight at the stand was the latest version of SAF-HOLLAND's digital I.Q. Portal. The comprehensively redesigned online platform combines service, knowledge and spare parts management in one central location, making everyday work significantly easier for customers. At its heart is the newly designed online service report, which makes service cases significantly faster and more transparent with intelligent input aids, automatic data transfer and the option to upload photos or videos. Fleet operators and workshops also benefit from the integrated Parts on Demand (I.Q. POD) spare parts catalogue, a central knowledge database and practical e-learning courses. The visitor response at NUFAM clearly showed that the new I.Q. portal is an innovative solution that creates real added value in customers' everyday lives.
Extensive product portfolio presented
Following the recent expansion of its brand portfolio, SAF-HOLLAND used NUFAM 2025 to present its new products to a wide audience. In addition to the SAF INTRA suspension, which has proven itself millions of times, the company showcased the robust trailer axles from Assali Stefen and the individually developed special axles from Tecma. The latter prove their strength particularly in complex applications – from forced steering axles for electro-hydraulic steering systems to tandem pendulum axles for demanding applications. Proven solutions such as the modular ModulT disc brake and EBS systems from Haldex, steering systems from SEM, fifth wheels from HOLLAND, as well as landing gears and other components for trucks and trailers successfully rounded off SAF-HOLLAND's trade fair appearance.
Strong signal to the industry
‘NUFAM has once again shown us how important direct exchange with customers, partners and industry colleagues is,’ emphasises Charpiot. The consistently high visitor turnout and the large number of expert discussions underline that SAF-HOLLAND has made a lasting impression with its brand presence and innovative strength and has significantly shaped the industry dialogue at NUFAM 2025.
